Operational Status / Broadband issue
« on: June 20, 2016, 11:14:13 am »
The broadband went down on Friday and is still awaiting a fix. So much for 99.99% uptime!

We are still operational using a 4G connection with ee.

TPN Invoicing / TPN stopping SOAP services 01/08/2016
« on: June 13, 2016, 01:39:43 pm »
The Pallet Network UK have informed us that they will be moving off external SOAP services and onto Web Services on the 1st August 2016.

The TPN Invoicing program extensively uses SOAP services.

There are no current plans to redevelop the program with Web Services. The large amount of work involved prevents it from being financially viable.

General discussions / HOW TO GET HELP
« on: June 13, 2016, 01:30:04 pm »
If you need any assistance (and you have a support contract) then contact the following in this order of priority -

1. Ring 01158-882830 (this is a VOIP based system. You do not get an engaged tone if the line is busy though)
2. Ring 07803-758658
3. Email support@zipzap.co.uk
4. Make a support request on the website at www.zipzap.co.uk - see the blue button 'I NEED HELP' button on the main page. This records your message and emails it directly.

TPN Invoicing sites should email tpninvoicing@zipzap.co.uk

If it is urgent and you need help out of hours then email support@zipzap.co.uk

Please DO NOT leave messages on answering machines. It is far quicker to email.

Loadmaster / CREATING SAGE TRANS.CSV FILE - ACCESS DENIED
« on: April 20, 2016, 03:19:59 pm »
This means that the location where the program is trying to create the TRANS.CSV file does not have write access. It is a security issue in Windows.

To confirm this, alter the Sage file destination to your Desktop and try again.

General discussions / Changes within ZiPZAP over the next few months
« on: April 15, 2016, 07:00:51 pm »
A number of changes will be occurring over the next few months. Hopefully our customers will not notice!

The zipzap.co.uk website is being moved from BT to Freeola. The EU site is already hosted with Freeola, along with the org.uk, parceltrak.com, parceltrak.co.uk and various others. Disruption in emails may occur to the .co.uk addresses but this is temporary.

The registered office will be moving around June to a new address. In anticipation and to avoid disruption we already have a phone number of 01158-882830 which will follow us around and be accessible at all times. The usual contact number for out of hours will remain the same.

The company will concentrate more on its core programs and enhance these, these include Loadmaster, Sameday, Claimtrak and Logman.

Will keep you informed what is going on. Any queries just ring or email.

Unfortunately it is no longer cost-effective for us to continue to produce this product. Repeated changes at TPN UK mean that the program continually requires updating. The program was aimed at being a low cost product that needed very little support and the need for updating has reached the tipping point of being viable.

We will support all users to the end of their support contracts, but these will not be renewed.

We have produced a final version that is downloadable for our customers. The program is not Freeware or supplied under the GPL. Installation is only approved to sites that have purchased the product from us and not to new ones.

"This version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program."

If you are on a 64 bit operating system then make sure it is trying to install in C:\Program_Files(X86) and not C:\Program_Files.

The recommended directory is C:\TPNINVG

The program itself is 32 bit.

Loadmaster / What3words
« on: March 07, 2016, 01:19:30 pm »
We have started to incorporate w3w into Loadmaster.

w3w allows a location anywhere in the world to be pinpointed using a coding system of three common English words to an accuracy of around 3 metres. w3w is already in Navigation systems such as NAVMII.

We are at http://w3w.co/glow.removers.nearly

This is an exciting and welcome concept.

Other software / SHA1 security and expiry
« on: March 02, 2016, 12:16:06 pm »
If you have any 'old' setup routine from ourselves then it will be signed with a Comodo SHA1 code signing certificate.

SHA1 is being retired due to the possibility of being hackable in the near future. No new SHA1 certificates are being issued. Owing to changes by Microsoft and others these will no longer install after 01/01/2017 and you may get warnings during the installation until that time.

We will be recompiling our existing program setups with a Comodo SHA2 code signing certificate shortly. These will be available to all registered users.
